Aussie Overtakes Jaidee to Win Myanmar Open

Australia's Scott Strange won his first Asian Tour title Sunday, shooting a 5-under-par 67 to capture the Myanmar Open by a stroke.
Strange finished at 11-under 277 and overtook Thailand's Thongchai Jaidee, the defending champion and third-round leader. Canada's Rick Gibson (68) was the runner-up at 278. Thongchai (74) and India's Ashok Kumar (72) shared third at 280.
Leading by two shots entering the last day, Thongchai faded and lost his chance for another victory following his title a week ago in Malaysia.
Strange, playing his third season on the Asian Tour, had a bogey on the first hole but responded with birdies on the third and seventh holes. He also sank 30-footers for birdies on Nos. 12 and 13 and added two more birdies on Nos. 15 and 17.
'I thought 67 might have a chance and I came out strong on the back nine,' Strange said. 'You have to play this course in a certain way and my caddie Zaw (Moe) read some great lines all week. He picked everything out there.'
