Curtis Finishes Distant Second

GOTEMBA, Japan -- British Open champion Ben Curtis was runner-up at the Taiheiyo Masters on Sunday, finishing six strokes behind winner Kiyoshi Murota of Japan.
Curtis closed with a 1-over-par 73 for a total of 10-under 278. He shared second with Japan's Hiroyuki Fujita and South Korea's Kim Jong-duk.
Murota had a 73 for a 272 in winning his sixth career title. He shot a course-record 10-under 62 Saturday.
