Goosens Gang Wins Inaugural Goodwill Trophy

SHENZHEN, China -- Retief Goosen's International team won the inaugural Goodwill Trophy 6 1/2 to 5 1/2 over the Europe-United States team on Tuesday.
The Internationals began the day with a one-point lead after dominating Monday's foursomes.
Sweden's Henrik Stenson won the opening singles match 3 and 2 against India's Jeev Singh to even the score. Australia's Peter Senior recorded the trophy-winning point on his final hole.
Each team won three singles matches while halving the other two.
The Ryder Cup nations took something out of the contest, with Colin Montgomerie beating opposing captain Goosen in their singles match.
The Goodwill Trophy was played on the Jack Nicklaus-designed course at Mission Hills Golf Club.
