Hayes Taken from Course to Hospital

2007 PODS ChampionshipPALM HARBOR, Fla. -- J.P. Hayes withdrew from the PODS Championship on Sunday and was taken to a hospital after complaining of minor chest pains and some dizziness.
The PGA TOUR had no update on his condition.
Hayes was 4 over par for the tournament and tried playing the first hole. But he walked off the course after playing four shots, and later was in a patio area breathing through an oxygen mask as paramedics tended to him.
'I had breakfast with him and he said he wasn't feeling good,' said Brad Faxon, who was paired with him in the final round. 'He said he had some heart palpitation stuff before. He didn't look good and he didn't feel good.'
Rich Beem, a former neighbor in El Paso, Texas, called Hayes' wife so he could speak to her. Hayes told her he was OK but was lightheaded and had minor chest pains.
The 41-year-old Hayes is a two-time winner on the PGA TOUR. His last victory was the 2002 John Deere Classic.
