Hazelden Three Others Qualify for Open

MELBOURNE, Australia -- England's Matthew Hazelden and three Australians earned spots in the British Open on Wednesday after a two-round international qualifying tournament.

Australia's Andrew Buckle and Adam Le Vesconte tied for first at 6-under 138. Hazelden shot a 68 Wednesday in hot, windy conditions on the Kingston Heath course to finish tied for third at 3-under 141 with Australian Brendan Jones.

The tournament was one of five to be played outside Britain to make it easier for international players to qualify for the Open, which will be held July 15-18 at Royal Troon in Scotland.
