Leonard to Skip Open for Birth of Child

135th Open Championship ST. ANDREWS, Scotland -- Former British Open champion Justin Leonard withdrew from next week's championship at Royal Liverpool on Saturday because his wife is expected to give birth within the next few days.
Leonard, the 1997 Open champion at Troon, and his wife, Amanda, have two daughters.
Simon Khan of England will take his place in the British Open field, the next nonexempt player in the official world ranking.
