Masters Rules Chairman to Step Down

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Will Nicholson, who has been in charge of setting up the golf course for the Masters since 1990, retired Wednesday as chairman of the competition and rules committees.
Nicholson, an Augusta National member who lives in Denver, has been involved with the Masters rules committee since 1974.
It has been a great experience coordinating the competition at the Masters, Nicholson said. However, after 15 years, the time has come to step aside.
Nicholson will be replaced by former USGA president Fred Ridley, who has been part of the Masters rules committee since 1994.
