Nichols Former PGA TOUR Player Dead at 66

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -- Bobby Nichols, who spent three years on the PGA TOUR, has died following a bout with cancer. He was 66.
Nichols, who competed on the PGA TOURfrom 1970-1973, died Sunday. Funeral services will be Wednesday.
Nichols, a native of Algood, Tenn., was the longtime golf coach at Tennessee Tech, which announced his death.
He was active for many years on the state golf circuit. Nichols also designed and owned Ironwood Golf Course near Cookeville.
