Pak Withdraws Due to Neck Injury

2006 Weetabix WomenLYTHAM ST. ANNES, England -- Se Ri Pak withdrew from the Women's British Open on Friday because of a neck injury.
The 28-year-old South Korean, who won this tournament in 2001, had a 6-over 78 during the first round on Thursday. She came to the course on Friday and told officials she could not play because of the injury.
Pak, who won the LPGA Championship in June, has been bothered by neck, shoulder, lower back and finger injuries in the past year. She failed to complete the first round of last year's British Open because of a finger injury.
