Quigley Back on Top in Florida

MILTON, Fla. -- Dana Quigley, seeking his second straight Senior Tour victory, shot a 7-under 63 on Friday to take a two-stroke lead in the Emerald Coast Classic.
Dave Eichelberger had a hole-in-one in his round of 65 on The Moors Golf Club course in the Florida Panhandle.
Fred Gibson opened with a 66, and Allen Doyle, Larry Nelson, Simon Hobday, Bob Eastwood and Frank Conner followed at 67.
Quigley, playing the 175th straight tournament for which he has been eligible, won the Siebel Classic in Silicon Valley two weeks ago, and is third on the money list with $599,910. He credited his success this year to sports psychologist Bob Rotella.
'He struck a nerve with me,' Quigley said. 'I really have a mindset to birdie all the holes. It's an amazing way to play golf.'
Rotella visited Quigley at his home in West Palm Beach just before the season started.
'We talked about baseball. We talked about everything,' Quigley said. 'He just got me to relax.'
Eichelberger recorded his 12th career hole-in-one, using a 7-iron on the 185-yard eighth hole.
'I didn't see the ball go in,' Eichelberger said. 'All of a sudden I saw the crowd jump up behind the green.'
