The U.S. squad is winless in its last two matchups against Europe in the biennial Ryder Cup.
To say the Americans hope to buck the trend, and usher in a "new era" this September in Scotland is like saying anchoring is going away. There's no doubt about it.
Perhaps that had something to do with New Era being named the official hat of the 2014 U.S. Ryder Cup team by the PGA of America on Wednesday.

Beginning August 1, the caps will be available for fans to purchase at the PGA.com Shop, NewEraCap.com and select retailers. The product will also be availabel at the Ryder Cup.
