Crash course

LA QUINTA, Calif. – As the 781 participants in this year’s National Championships plod their way through 107-degree temperatures, with each shot becoming more important than the previous, pace of play can certainly become an issue. According to Golf Channel staff, however, the pace has been even better than expected.
