This week marks the 42nd event of the 2014-15 PGA Tour season, as 156 players tee it up at the PGA Championship. Each week, a panel of experts will offer up their picks from four groups of players, based on Golf Channel's fantasy game, Fantasy Challenge. We will also keep track of their scores and standings. The panel includes: senior writers Rex Hoggard and Randall Mell; editorial director Jay Coffin; associate editor Will Gray; 'Morning Drive' host Gary Williams; host Charlie Rymer and defending fantasy champion Ryan Lavner.
Group 1: Jason Day: The Australian continues to close in on his maiden major and he played well the last time the PGA Championship was contested at Whistling Straits (T-10).
Group 2: Brooks Koepka: Although he struggled after his Tour breakthrough earlier this year at the Waste Management Phoenix Open, the long-hitting American has finished in the top 10 in three of his last six starts.
Group 3: Robert Streb: Quietly putting together one of the most consistent seasons on the PGA Tour with 13 top-25 finishes, including last week’s fifth-place showing at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational.
Group 4: Justin Thomas: The rookie had an extensive “to do” list to begin this season and he only has a few goals remaining, the most important of which is a victory.
