Golf Channel Academy Magazine, the game’s first all-instruction digital publication, launched this week with a cover story from Golf Channel Academy lead coach and “Coach of the Week” Mitchell Spearman on how to generate effortless power. The inaugural issue, which includes video tips and feature articles and columns from Golf Channel Academy coaches, is part of a limited-time free trial. Readers can sign up and access the issue at www.GolfChannelAcademy.com.
In addition to the distance-generating tips from Spearman, the premier issue features an in-depth analysis of Masters and U.S. Open champion Jordan Spieth’s driver swing, including a bonus video tip spotlighting Spieth’s “Best Move.” There’s also a column from Golf Channel "School of Golf" host Martin Hall on the “real” secret to Ben Hogan’s swing, and instruction articles on how to tame the 60-yard wedge and improve your fairway bunker game.
The monthly magazine is currently viewable on desktop computers only. (Look for it on tablets and smartphones in the coming months.) It will be published 20 times per year, starting in 2016, and will be one of the featured benefits offered to members of the Golf Channel Academy Club.
