The PGA Championship will return to the Ocean Course at Kiawah Island in 2021, according to a Post and Courier (S.C.) report.
Nestled along the South Carolina coast, Kiawah Island hosted a dramatic American victory at the 1991 Ryder Cup. It also hosted the season's final major in 2012, when Rory McIlroy cruised to an eight-shot victory to capture the first of his two PGA Championship titles.
According to the report, an official announcement from the PGA of America is expected Friday.
Once the return to Kiawah is official, the next open date for a PGA Championship will be 2023. The tournament returns to Whistling Straits in August, while other future host sites include Baltusrol (2016), Quail Hollow (2017), Bellerive (2018), Bethpage Black (2019), TPC Harding Park (2020) and Trump National Bedminster (2022).
