LAKE OCONEE, Ga. – Mallory Blackwelder and Julien Trudeau, who met while competing on "Big Break" Ireland, wed this past Friday in Versailles, Ky.

Fast-forward three days later, and the newlyweds are competing against each other at the inaugural Big Break Invitational Reynolds Plantation. The four-day event culminates Friday, where six men and six women will battle each other in stroke play for a $100K first-place prize out of a $300K total purse.

"I'm not gonna take it easy on her, " Trudeau said, "and she's not going to take it easy on me."

Two weeks ago, Blackwelder secured her 2015 LPGA card at the Symetra Tour's season-ending event by finishing in the top 10 on the money list for the year. Trudeau played the Web.com Tour in 2012 but has since turned to caddying on the PGA Tour full-time. Of the two, it would seem Blackwelder is the favorite this week; Trudeau is the favorite in a different way.

"My mom wants Julien to win," Blackwelder said. "She would love to see him play well ... she wishes he were still out there playing (professionally)."

Really, this week is the definition of a win-win situation, no matter who beats who.

"I'll be thrilled [if we finish one and two]," Blackwelder said. "[The earnings] will go into a shared bank account, so I'd love it for both of us."
