U.S. Open headed to Oakmont for 10th time in 2025

OAKMONT, Pa. – The U.S. Open will return to Oakmont Country Club in 2025 and then to Shinnecock Hills Golf Club in 2026, the USGA announced Saturday.

No site has hosted more U.S. Opens than Oakmont.

The championship’s return to suburban Pittsburgh in ’25 will mark the 10th time Oakmont hosts. Baltusrol Golf Club in Springfield, N.J., has been home to the U.S. Open seven times, but not all on the same course. Oakland Hills Country Club in Bloomfield Township, Mich., has hosted six U.S. Opens.

Shinnecock Hills also is host to the U.S. Open in 2018. Its return to Southampton, N.Y., in ’26 will mark the sixth time it hosts the championship.

Here are the future sites of the U.S. Open that have been announced:

2017 – Erin Hills, Erin, Wis.
2018 – Shinnecock Hills Golf Club, Southampton, N.Y.
2019 – Pebble Beach Golf Links, Pebble Beach, Calif.
2020 – Winged Foot Golf Club, Mamaroneck, N.Y.
2021 – Torrey Pines Golf Course, San Diego, Calif.
2022 – The Country Club, Brookline, Mass.
2023 – Los Angeles Country Club, Los Angeles, Calif.
2024 – Pinehurst No. 2, Pinehurst, N.C.
2025 – Oakmont Country Club, Oakmont, Pa.
2026 – Shinnecock Hills Golf Club, Southampton, N.Y.
