Tiger Woods and Lindsey Vonn are no longer a couple.
Both Woods and Vonn released separate statements Sunday saying that they have mutually decided to split up after nearly three years of dating.
“I have great admiration, respect and love for Lindsey and I’ll always cherish our time together," Woods wrote in a statement on his website. "She has been amazing with Sam and Charlie and my entire family.
“Unfortunately, we lead very hectic lives and are both competing in demanding sports. It’s difficult to spend time together.”
Woods and Vonn, a 30-year-old Olympic skier, officially announced they were dating in March 2013. They were routinely seen at each other’s events. Vonn recently attended the Masters and tagged along with Woods’ children during the Masters Par 3 Contest at Augusta.
In a Facebook post, she wrote: “I will always cherish the memories that we’ve created together. Unfortunately, we both lead incredibly hectic live that force us to spend a majority of our time apart. I will always admire and respect Tiger. He and his beautiful family will always hold a special place in my heart.”
Woods is scheduled to play next week’s Players Championship, his first tournament since the Masters.
