Watch: Kisner holes out for eagle to force playoff

AVONDALE, La. – Kevin Kisner couldn’t see much for his third shot on 18, but he knew the ball would break right once it got onto the green.

“I could still see the flag,” he said. “We were using that TV out there in the water for the light.”

He had already chipped in twice Sunday, and a third hole-out gave Kisner and partner Scott Brown a chance Monday for an improbable playoff victory at the Zurich Classic.

“I walked by him and told him to just knock it right in,” Brown said. “He’s been doing it all day. I told him, ‘One more time wouldn’t hurt.’ And then he did it.”

Four shots back to start the final round, Kisner and Brown’s final-hole eagle gave the team a closing, 12-under 60 – despite making par on six of the last seven holes.

“We knew we had to have it,” Kisner said.
