SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – If you’re looking for a little Super Bowl preview on Sunday, keep a close eye on the final group at the Waste Management Phoenix Open.
The last threesome on the course will feature Denver Broncos fan Kevin Stadler and Seattle Seahawks fan Ryan Moore – and they should finish up some 30 minutes prior to kickoff.
“I’m very ready. Can't wait,” said Stadler, who wore a Broncos shirt on Saturday.
“We're excited,” said Moore, who’s countered by wearing hats in Seahawks colors all week. “I think it's going to be a fun game, and obviously, you know, can't wait to watch it.”
The third member of the group, tournament leader Bubba Watson, doesn’t have a dog in the fight, but is hoping they’re long done before the game starts.
“We need to be under five hours tomorrow,” he implored. “I want to watch the Super Bowl. I want to get ready for the Super Bowl. Who cares about the golf? Under five hours tomorrow, boys. That's not going to happen.”
