AUGUSTA, Ga. – Thirteen hours after Tiger Woods thrilled patrons Monday at Augusta National he was back on the first tee with Mark O’Meara.

The two went off slightly after 8 a.m. ET Tuesday and Woods, wearing a pink shirt and black pants, hit his tee shot just into the left rough. Sergio Garcia was playing alone up ahead on the first green and called Woods and O’Meara to play through.

Just behind them are Phil Mickelson, Dustin Johnson, Rickie Fowler and Brandt Snedeker.

Woods and O’Meara played nine holes together on Monday and Woods seemed in great spirits. He played well, too, making easy birdies on Nos. 1 and 7 and made a great par save on the ninth hole. O’Meara walked into the clubhouse after the ninth hole but Woods played the 10th and 18th holes before stopping to talk briefly to the media.

“It’s progression,” Woods said. “I felt like I had to get my game into a spot where I could compete to win a golf tournament and it’s finally there.”
