PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. – Only one round remains at The Players Championship, but more than two dozen players remain in the mix. Here’s what You Oughta Know heading into the final round at TPC Sawgrass, where Chris Kirk tops a crowded leaderboard:

• At 10 under, Kirk holds a one-shot lead over three players. He has three PGA Tour wins, most recently at the 2014 Deutsche Bank Championship. Kirk turned 30 on Friday.

• He will play the final round alongside Kevin Kisner, who like Kirk went to the University of Georgia. Kisner has never won on Tour but lost in a playoff last month at the RBC Heritage.

• Ben Martin is tied for second at 9 under. He recorded his first win earlier this season at the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open.

• Bill Haas is also T-2, making his ninth Players Championship appearance. His best prior result came in 2012, when he finished T-25.

• Haas won the Humana Challenge in January, and he is the only player among the top 16 already with a win to his credit this year.

• A total of 30 players will begin the final round within five shots off the lead, a tournament record. That group includes Rory McIlroy, Adam Scott and Bubba Watson, who are all 6 under and four shots back.

• Justin Thomas is two shots back after a record-setting third round. Thomas carded a 65 that included 10 birdies, the most ever in one round at this event.

• Thomas was the last player added to this week’s field, earning a spot when Victor Dubuisson withdrew. He has four top-10 finishes this season.

• Only three first-time players have won this event, most recently Craig Perks in 2002. Kisner, Martin and Thomas are all making their first start this week.

• Sergio Garcia is among the group at 8 under. Garcia won this event in 2008, finished second in 2007 and was third last year.

• Kevin Na is also 8 under and looking to round out a clean sweep of top-10 finishes at Florida events. Na finished T-9 at Doral, T-10 at Innisbrook and T-6 at Bay Hill earlier this year.
