Duke Claims Bryan National Collegiate

College Central presented by PINGBROWNS SUMMITT, N.C. - The top-ranked Duke women's golf team won its third straight Bryan National Collegiate on Sunday as rain forced the tournament to only 36 holes. The Blue Devils had led by four strokes over Vanderbilt on Saturday at the Par 72, 6,074-yard Bryan Park Golf Club so Duke was crowned team champion.
Duke finished with a total of 580 with Vanderbilt (584), Georgia (596), Wake Forest (597) and Tennessee (600) rounding out the top five. The victory for Duke is its third of the season and the second out of three tournaments in the spring.
Junior Leigh Anne Hardin finished fifth with a 1-under-par 143, while freshman Liz Janangelo continued was sixth (144). Senior Kristina Engstrom was tied seventh (145) and Niloufar Aazam-Zanganeh was tied 15th (148). Senior Maria Garcia-Estrada finished 85th overall (169).
Wake Forest's Nuria Clau won the tie-breaker for the individual title with a two-day total of 142.
