Gulbis Inkster Competing Against the Men

CVS Caremark Charity ClassicNatalie Gulbis and Juli Inkster will try and beat the boys in the two-day CVS Caremark Charity Classic.
The two LPGA Tour players will go up against nine other teams ' comprised of PGA TOUR and Champions Tour players ' in the ninth edition of this charitable event hosted by Brad Faxon and Billy Andrade.
The 36-hole tournament, which begins Monday, is being contested at Rhode Island Country Club in Barrington, R.I. Teams will compete under a better-ball format with the lowest score by each team member counting for the hole.
The purse is $1.35 million with an additional $50,000 Energizer Skins Competition. Teams will vie for a total of $25,000 each day. That money will be split among any of the teams who can collect one of the 18 available skins each round. The team with the lowest score on each hole will win a skin. If there is a tie, it will carry over to the next hole.
More than the money won by the players, the CVS tournament is about monies earned for charity. Since 1999, the CVS Caremark Charity Classic has allocated over $8 million in charitable donations to dozens of organizations. Over $1.6 million was raised in 2006 alone.
