Among the teams that finished round one, the University of Denver and Oregon were in first place at 7-over par 295.
UCLA sophomore John Poucher is 2-under par after four holes, having birdied both par-5s on the front side. Junior Travis Johnson is 1-under after a birdie at the par-4 third. Roy Moon and Steve Conway are even and John Merrick is one stroke over par.
Among players who have finished, Michael Jurgensen of Oregon State, Gregg LaVoie of Oregon and Chris Piercy of Old Dominion are tied for first at even par.
