Though only the second rise in ticket prices in 11 years, it easily marks the biggest jump in the tournament's history. The $175 price is up from $125 in 2003, marking a 40 percent increase.
The cost of attending the Masters has more than doubled since 1989, when the price for a badge was just $85 dollars.
The tournament, started back in 1934, also saw prices jump for attending the practices rounds on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
The Monday and Tuesday prices went from $21 to $31, while the price of Wednesday tickets increased from $26 to $36. Wednesday is the day of the very popular par-3 contest between former champions and players in the current field.
