Barnes Invited to Barclays Scottish Open

Rickey Barnes, the low amateur at the Masters last week and the 2002 U.S. Amateur champion, has been invited to play in the Barclays Scottish Open. Barnes indicated he will play in the tournament, to be held at Loch Lomond July 10-13.
Scottish Amateur champion Andrew McArthur has also accepted an invitation to play at Loch Lomond, and will challenge Barnes for the low amateur prize. McArthur, who plays at Windyhill Golf Club on the outskirts of Glasgow, won the 2002 Scottish Amateur Championship at Western Gailes.
After outscoring playing partner Tiger Woods by seven shots in the opening round, the 22-year-old American Barnes went on to finish the year's first major in 21st place.
The Barclays Scottish Open will be televised by The Golf Channel.
