Big Break Boys Back in Action

Canadian Tour-LargeAfter a three-week layoff the Canadian Tour rolls into California for the Greater Sacramento Open at the Whitney Oaks Golf Club. It's the first of two new events in the state and just the third tournament of the young season.
Big Break winner Justin Peters will be back in action as he comes back from a torn oblique muscle that severely hampered him in the tour's first event of the season, the Barton Creek Classic.
Peters, who found himself on the leaderboard in the early going at Barton Creek before the injury flared up, recently declared himself healthy again and has resumed his practicing schedule.
Joining Peters at the event is fellow Big Break alum and friend Anthony Sorentino. Sorentino, who finished runner-up to Peters in the show's final episode, is in the tournament on a sponsor's invitation.
Also in the field are Brad Sutterfield and Chris Wisler, winners of the season's first two events in Texas. Sutterfield won the season-opening Barton Creek Classic in a playoff over Mario Tiziani, while Wisler took the title at the weather-shortened Barton Creek Challenge the following week.
With their victories both find themselves sitting atop the Canadian Tour's Order of Merit (money list). It is a position that all players of the tour aspire to achieve, as the top two players from the Canadian Tour Order of Merit receive exemptions into the second stage of PGA Tour Qualifying.
This is the first of four straight weeks of play on the Canadian Tour. Next week the tour stays in the northern California area for the E-Loan Central Valley Classic at the Brookside Country Club in Stockton.
The Canadian Tour has 14 events on its schedule, ending with the Bay Mills Open Players Championship in late August.
