Bjorn Pulls Out of World Cup

Thomas Bjorn has pulled out of next week's EMC World Cup in Argentina. The Dane's withdrawal will cost Denmark a spot in the World Golf Championship event.

Bjorn said he wants to rest his injured foot rather than fly to Buenos Aires. Instead of a replacement being found, namely Anders Hansen, for partner Steen Tinning, Denmark's spot has been given to Venezuela.

Venezuela finished as first alternate in a qualifying tournament.

Miguel Martinez and Cipriano Castro will represent Venezuela in the event, which offers $1 million to the winning team.
