Canadian Tour Players Invited To South American Events

The Canadian Tour announced Tuesday it has received an invitation from the Lucent Technologies Tour of the Americas for its top eight available players from the top-30 to play in their two season-ending tournaments in Mexico.
'We are very pleased to accept the very generous offer from the Lucent Technologies Tour of the Americas,' commented Canadian Tour commissioner Jacques Burelle. 'The scheduling is a perfect fit for us as it comes on the heels of the recently completed Panama Open Panasonic and immediately prior to our first official event of the 2001 season - The Myrtle Beach Open.'
The two events are next week's Mexico Masters at the Atlas Club in Guadalajara and the following week's Lucent Technologies Tour Championship at the Grand Bay Club in Isla de Navidad. The Canadian Tour resumes its schedule in Myrtle Beach Feb. 19 - 25.
