Daly Ive Had One Hell of a Life

One of the most beloved ' and troubled ' figures in golf, John Daly summed it up when he said, Ive had one hell of a life.
The GOLF CHANNELs Rich Lerner sat down with Daly for an exclusive conversation with the two-time major winner about a life that includes past successes, current demons and future hopes. Taped last week at Warwick Hills Golf & Country Club in Grand Blanc, Mich., where Daly competed in the Buick Open, the interview will air as a 30-minute special on the GOLF CHANNEL, titled John Daly ' A Golf Central Exclusive, Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET.
Daly entered the 2007 golf season with such promise ' at least in his mind. After a troubling 2006 on both domestic and professional fronts, he lost his exempt status on the PGA TOUR. This year has been marked by injuries, speculation about his desire and more domestic issues. The result has put Daly at a crossroads in his career and life.
In John Daly ' A Golf Central Exclusive, Daly addresses both his alcohol and gambling habits that some of his peers say have stunted what could have been a legendary career. In addition, he answers critics in the media who have written and said things that have been hurtful, and defends his current group of friends ' about which some say are a bad influence. Daly also discusses his relationship with his current wife, Sherrie, and the person he turns to in times of need.
The five-time PGA TOUR winner also talks golf, including the current state of his game and plans for the future.
