Els Commits to Play in South African Finale

Ernie Els has confirmed that he will play in the final event on the Sunshine Tour's 2000/2001 schedule, the inaugural Tour Championship at the Leopard Creek Country Club from February 22-25.
The world No. 2 is currently on holiday in South Africa, and plans to
spend the next three weeks there before returning to the PGA Tour in preparation for The Masters.
'I always try to support the local Sunshine Tour whenever I'm in South Africa,' said Els, whose last tournament here was the Vodacom Players' Championship following his victory in the Nedbank Golf Challenge in December.
'I am looking forward to playing my home course,' joked easy going Els, who owns a house at Leopard Creek, overlooking the 15th hole. 'I love the course,it is one of the country's finest layouts.'
The Tour Championship aims to reward the top 72 players on the Sunshine Tour's Order of Merit, after the Investec Royal Swazi Sun, with a total purse of R2-million.
