Gainey Wins on Hooters Tour

ROGERS, Ark. -- Tommy two gloves Gainey carded a 2-under par 69 in Sundays final round of the NGA Tour Bentonville Open presented by Simmons Suites over the 6903 yard, par 71 Lost Springs Golf and Athletic Club to earn his first career Hooters Tour title.
Being in this same position in the Nationwide event a few weeks ago and not playing well on Sunday really helped me out today, said Gainey. I owe a lot to the GOLF CHANNEL and the 'Big Break' show because once that camera is in your face the pressure is on, and out here I am just playing golf and having fun.
The reigning 'Big Break' winner fired rounds of 71-64-65-69 for a four day total of 15-under-par 269 and three stroke victory over Gareth Maybin. Maybin closed out his tournament with a 3-under-par 68 Sunday and finished at 12-under-par 272.
The field this week was full of really good players and when you play against good players week in and week out you can only get better.
This will really help my confidence.
Blaine Peffley, a standout from the University of Maryland that turned pro early, finished all alone in third place at 11-under-par 273. Peffley fired bogey-free rounds of 68 and 65 on the weekend.
Luke Bakke headed up the Arkansas contingent in The NGA Tour Bentonville Open for the week after carding a final round 5-under-par 66 for a four-day total of 6-under-par 278. Lost Springs head pro and Hooters member Todd Pinneo carded a 2-over-par 73 Sunday and finished the week at 1-under-par 283.
Gainey collects a Hooters Tour best $33,566 for his first career title, while Maybin takes home $16,639 for his runner-up finish.
