Ginter Earns Top Spot in LPGA Qualifying

Sue Ginter shot a 68 and won the four-day LPGA Qualifying Tournament by four strokes. Her four-round total was 279, 9-under-par, and she earned a first-place cheach lf $6,000.
Tour player Ginter finished four shots ahead of second-place Tamie Durdin, who will be a rookie next year, and Pamela Kerrigan, who was a rookie in 2000. Fourteen players earned exempt status and the next 35 and ties (38 players at 294 or better) earned non-exempt status.
Twenty are rookies for the 2001 season: Angela Stanford, Nan Kyong Ha, Beth Bader, Becky Morgan, Jennifer Hubbard, Marcy Newton, Nicole Materne, Patricia Maniuer Lebouc, Hee-Won Han, Amy Langhais, Jenna Daniels, Namika Omata, Jody Neiman, Kelly Cap, Michelle Louviere, Connie Wei and Soo Yun Kang.
