Golf Channel Sweepstakes Winner to Putt for $1 Million

Grey Goose Putt for a Million SweepstakesORLANDO, Fla. -- Sixty feet of green will be the only thing between DeWayne Gill and $1 million when he attempts the putt of his life on Jan. 30.
Gill won The Golf Channels Grey Goose Putt For A Million sweepstakes. He will now attempt the 60-footer live on The Golf Channel at 8:50 p.m. ET from Rosens Shingle Creek Golf Club in Orlando, Fla. Should the Hermitage, Tenn., resident sink the putt, he will take home the grand prize of $1 million, compliments of Grey Goose Vodka and The Golf Channel.
Gill will take his best shot on the newly opened clubs 18th green, which features a daunting four-level, sloped surface. Shingle Creek Golf Club is a David Harman-designed course featuring undulating fairways and interconnecting waterways. These are bordered by the natural backdrop of dense oaks and pines, all set along Central Floridas historic Shingle Creek.
The Putt for a Million will be broadcast as part of a special hour of programming dedicated to news and events from the 2004 PGA Merchandise Show being held in Orlando that week. It will be the first of three hours of live, prime-time programming The Golf Channel will dedicate to the PGA Merchandise Show, beginning Thursday, Jan. 29, at 7:30 p.m. Host Adam Barr will report on the latest news from the show, including reports on technology, apparel and equipment.
The Golf Channels 2004 series premiere of The Grey Goose 19th Hole airs Tuesday, Feb. 10, at 11 p.m. ET.
