Last Chance For Tour Championship Hopefuls

The Senior PGA Tour travels to San Antonio, TX for the SBC Championship, the final chance for players to try and qualify for the Tour Championship.
Doug Tewell is the defending champion. He made a three-foot birdie putt on the final hole for a one-stroke victory over last years Player of the Year Larry Nelson and Walter Hall.
The $2.2 million Tour Championship will take place next week at Gaillardia in Oklahoma City. The event is open to the top 31 players on the money list after the SBC Championship.

This weeks purse is $1.4 million, with $210,000 going to the winner. The tournament has been contested since 1985. Jim Albus successfully defended his title in 1995. Lee Trevino is the only three-time champion, winning in 1991, 92 and 98.
