Lefty Wins Left Coast Swing

PGA Tour (75x100)Phil Mickelson's strong showing at the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship, where he reached the quarter-finals and finished in a tie for fifth, vaulted over Vijay Singh to win the PGA Tour's West Coast Swing presented by The St. Paul.
Phil MickelsonPlayers accumulate points by finishing in the top 10 during the nine-tournament West Coast Swing, with points ranging from 100 for first place to 10 points for 10th place.
Mickelson will recieve the $500,000 bonus check that comes with finishing atop the standings.
In addition to winning his first event of the season, the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic in January, Mickelson also posted a tie for seventh at the FBR Open, a third at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am and a tie for fourth in the Buick Invitational.
Vijay Singh finished runner-up and earns $300,000, with Mike Weir coming in third and recieving $200,000.
Past winners of the bonus include Tiger Woods in both 1999 and 2000, Davis Love in 2001, Chris DiMarco in 2002 and Canadian Mike Weir last year. Mickelson also won the bonus in it's inaugural year in 1998.
