Lemmon Out Murray In at Pebble Beach

Jack Lemmon will not make his 27th appearance at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am this week. Lemmon has been battling health problems over the last few months and will be unable to team up with friend and Pro-am partner Peter Jacobsen.

The 75 year-old Academy Award winning actor has thrilled crowds with his repeated attempts and consistent failure to make the cut at the event in Monterrey, Ca. Lemmon also missed the event last year due to surgery.

Popular comedian Bill Murray will return to the Pro-am event after skipping it last year. Murray will reunite with PGA Tour veteran Scott Simpson. Murray had played every year since 1992 but instead played in the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic Pro-Am in 2000.

Other notable celebrities include Rush Limbaugh, Jerry Rice, Ken Griffey, Jr., Huey Lewis, Reggie Jackson and Mikhail Baryshnikov. Defending champion Tiger Woods will again team with former Stanford teammate Jerry Chang.
