Mickelson to Return to Scottish Open

Masters champion Phil Mickelson has confirmed his participation in the 2004 Barclays Scottish Open at Loch Lomond in Glasgow, Scotland.
Mickelson, who has moved up to fifth in the world rankings, will return to Loch Lomond for the second straight year following his tie for 35th in 2003.
'I will return to this tournament, and expect to do so for many years,' said Mickleson. 'I love this place. It is a magnificent stage for a very important championship.'
Defending champion Ernie Els is also scheduled to tee it up, setting up a possible rematch from their unforgettable Masters duel. Mickelson edged Els by one shot with a torrid back nine 31 to snatch the green jacket away from the big South African.
The tournament is to be played July 8-11 with a total purse of $3,500,645 with $602,962 to winner.
