Music to Morgans Ears

After playing two inaugural events in the last three weeks, the Champions Tour heads to a more established event ' and Gil Morgan couldnt be happier.
The games elders make their way to Nashville, Tenn., for the 10th annual Music City Championship at Gaylord Opryland.
Morgan is not only the defending champion, but the only player to win this event on multiple occasions. The 57-year-old Oklahoman captured last years title ' the 21st in his Champions Tour career ' by beating Mike McCullough and Bruce Fleisher by two shots. He won the 1997 tournament by the same margin over John Bland.
In between his two triumphs, Morgan also finished runner-up in 2000. Hale Irwin was the victor that season. Irwin hasnt had as much success in this event as his one-time rival Morgan, but one victory plus one second-place finish (2001) proves hes just as much a favorite this week at the Springhouse Golf Club.
Irwin already has one victory this season, having captured the Kinko's Classic of Austin three weeks ago. There have been 13 different winners in 13 events this year on tour. Morgan is still in search of his first win in 2003.
