Nationwide Heading Up the Coast

The Nationwide Tour heads north up the coast from the Carolina's into Virginia for the playing of the Nationwide Henrico County Open at The Dominion Club in Richmond, Va.
Despite graduating to the PGA Tour following the 2002 season, defending champion Patrick Moore will be back to defend the title he won last year.
Trailing by one heading into the par-5 18th, Moore postioned himself with a perfect drive then nailed a six-iron to 15-feet and sank the putt for an eagle to defeat John Maginnes by one shot for his first of three 2002 wins.
Current PGA Tour player Notah Begay III became the first player in Nationwide Tour history to shoot 59 when he shot 32-27 in the second round here in 1998.
After two years at Stonehenge Golf & Country Club in Richmond, the tournament returned to The Dominion Club in Glen Allen in 2002. The Dominion Club hosted this event the first seven years of its existence.
Chad Campbell`s total of 263 in 2001 set a new tournament record, breaking the
previous mark of 270 set in 1995 by Hugh Royer III and Tom Scherrer.
