Seeking Comfort

Larry Nelson has won the last two Senior PGA Tour events, but he won't win this week's Comfort Classic. That's because Nelson didn't make the trip to the Brickyard Crossing at Indianapolis, Ind. But Bruce Fleisher and Tom Kite did.
Fleisher and Kite are both making their first starts since the FleetBoston Classic, which Nelson won, two weeks ago. Fleisher tied for 3rd in Concord, Mass. Kite tied for 20th.
With Nelson resting, Fleisher will be able to extend his lead at the top of the money list. The 4-time Tour winner in 2000 is currently $64,551 ahead of Nelson, who also has four victories to his credit this season. This week's purse is $1,250,000, with the winner collecting $187,500.
For the second straight week, Hale Irwin is not in attendance. Irwin stands 3rd on the 2000 money list - $177,558 behind Fleisher.
