The MasterCard Championship kicks off the season in Hawaii from January 18-20, while the annual Senior Tour Championship concludes it at Gaillardia in Oklahoma City, Ok.
In between are the usual four major championships, which will be held in the months of April, June and July.
The Senior PGA Championship moves this year to the Firestone Country Club in Akron, Ohio, while the U.S. Senior Open will be contested at the Caves Valley Golf Club in Maryland.
In addition, the Novell Utah Showdown will feature the Modified Stableford scoring format this year, while the Royal Caribbean Classic is set to return to stroke play.
Also, the Vantage Championship ' which was cancelled earlier this year ' will return in 2002 as the RJR Championship.
As has been the case in recent times, the Senior Tour will not conduct events during the weeks of three tournaments on the regular PGA Tour. Those events are the Players Championship in March, the Masters in April and the PGA Championship in August.
