Singh Sorry to See Year Go

Vijay Singh, in Japan for the Dunlop Phoenix tournament, said he is sad to see the end of a 2000 season in which he spent the second half of the season in a prolonged slump.
Singh believes he has got his problems sorted out now. 'I wish this were just the beginning of the year,' he said Wednesday. 'I've just started to play well. I could have won the last two events (the Tour Championship and the WGC-American Express) if I had just gotten it together.
'My putting is coming around. I'm rolling the ball better than ever and the technique I'm using is the best ever. I think I'm going to win soon.'
