Teen-ager Tryon to Play in Australia

Seventeen-year-old Ty Tryon, who last week was the medalist at the first stage of PGA Tour Qualifying Tournament, will play in the Australian Open later this month.
The Orlando, Fl., resident recently became the youngest player to qualify for a PGA Tour event in more than 40 years when he played in the recent Honda Classic. He turned pro this summer, even though he is still in high school.
'It's amazing to think that Aaron Baddeley's hold on the 'youngest-ever champion' record could be under threat already, but believe me it it,' said Australian Golf Union head Colin Phillips. 'This kid really could do it.'
