April 14, 1968 ' Roberto de Vicenzo signs an incorrect scorecard, giving the Masters to Bob Goalby. De Vicenzo signed for a 4 ' recorded by de Vicenzos playing partner Tommy Aaron -on the 17th hole, when de Vicenzo actually scored a birdie 3. A three would have put de Vicenzo in an 18-hole playoff with Goalby the following day, but 4 was one stroke too much.

April 15, 1973 ' Mickey Wright wins the last victory of her career ' the 82nd - at the Nabisco Dinah Shore Winners Circle. Wright played in only eight events in 1973.
April 17, 1994 ' PGA Tour commissioner Deane Beman fines an undisclosed number of Senior Tour members $2,000 each for sharing the purse at the Vantage Aces and other exhibitions such as the Merrill Lynch Shootouts. Among those who said they were fined were Bob Charles, Rocky Thompson, Jim Dent, Larry Laoretti and Dave Stockton. It was stressed that no one split the purse at a regular tour event.
