June 6, 1993 ' Paul Azingers hole-out from a bunker at Memorials 18th beats Payne Stewart.
June 7, 1983 ' Spaniard Seve Ballesteros, the 82 Masters champion, is denied PGA Tour membership. He says commissioner Deane Beman regretfully intervened negatively. Ballesteros asked Beman to consider Europe his native country and allow Ballesteros to play nine events on that tour and 15 in the U.S. His effort was denied
