Wie May Cause British Open to Reconsider

Women are barred from playing in the British Open. However, there is a possibility that American 14-year-old prodigy Michelle Wie may cause organizers to rethink that rule.
You can never say never, said Royal and Ancient secretary Peter Dawson, and we would be very unwise not to review our entry criteria over the years ahead.
Dawson specifically mentioned Wie in discussing the possibility of jettisoning the male requirement. She missed making the cut by one shot at the PGA Tours Sony Open in Hawaii last week.
