Woods Injures Knee May Withdraw From Pebble

Defending champion Tiger Woods hyper-extended his left knee just after completing his practice round Wednesday afternoon. Woods stepped on the ankle of a fan seeking an autograph from the world's No. 1 player.
The injury may force Woods to withdraw from the AT&T National Pro-Am, which begins Thursday. Woods has won the last two events played at the Pebble Beach Golf Links. He overcame a seven shot deficit to win last years Pro-Am and then lapped the field to win the U.S. open by 15 shots.
'My leg snapped back,' said Woods. 'And then he yelled at me for not signing. A lot of fans just got on me.'
Woods is scheduled to tee off at 8:50 a.m. at Spyglass Hill.
