Tip of the Week: Turn your sand game into a strength

The PGA Tour moves to TPC Scottsdale this week for the highly popular Waste Management Phoenix Open.

And as is the case with most desert courses, there’s plenty of sand in play.



Many amateurs both fear and struggle with bunker shots, which is the result of not understanding the proper technique for escaping the sand.

You can set your anxiety aside, however, as in this video segment School of Golf host Martin Hall is going to give you a great tip to help you improve your greenside bunker play.

So spend time in a practice bunker utilizing a tee, and you’ll get the feel of the proper technique that will make bunker shots less stressful.
